Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) has been used traditionally as a Chi (life force) tonic

and energy tonic and may be used to stimulate immune function, improve circulation, prevent colds and flu, increase energy, alleviate acute conditions, cleanse liver and kidneys, strengthen digestion, balance blood pressure, and benefit degenerative disorders.
